Privacy Notice

What we collect

We collect only what the product needs:

• Account: name, email address, password (stored as a hash), profile photo, bio, and links you add.
• Activity: communities you join, posts, comments, reactions, course progress, event RSVPs, messages you send.
• Payments: what you bought, when, for how much, and the payment reference. Card and bank details go to Razorpay and never reach us.
• Technical: IP address, browser, and device type in server logs, used for security and to keep the service running.

Why we use it

To run your account and the communities you belong to; to take payments and issue receipts; to send you the notifications you choose; to keep Campus secure; and to meet legal duties such as tax records.

We do not sell your data and we do not show targeted advertising.

Your consent

You consent when you create an account, and we record when you did. You can withdraw consent at any time by closing your account from Settings; we will then erase your data as described below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened.

Notification emails are optional and controlled separately in Settings. Account and payment emails are sent because the service needs them.

Who sees it

Other members see your name, photo, bio, links, and what you post in communities you both belong to. Creators see who has joined their community and what those members do inside it.

We use processors to run Campus. They handle data only on our instructions:

• Amazon Web Services — hosting, file storage, and email delivery
• MongoDB Atlas — database
• Razorpay — payments
• Google — sign-in, if you choose to use it

How long we keep it

While your account is open. When you close it we erase your account, memberships, messages, and course progress. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and company law require. Posts and comments stay in their communities with your name removed.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can:

• See what we hold — download a copy from Settings › Profile › Your data & privacy.
• Correct it — edit your profile at any time.
• Erase it — close your account from Settings.
• Withdraw consent — the same as closing your account.
• Raise a grievance — email the contact below. We respond within 90 days, usually much sooner.

Children

Campus is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access inside the company is limited to people who need it. If a breach affects you we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. Material changes are announced in the product or by email before they take effect.
